Sarah spent 10 years riding at Oakridge Training Stables with Yves Sauvigon where she learned that strong basics will help develop a better horse. She uses ground work to develop balance and rhythem before adding the extra stress of a rider. As well as balance, ground work is vital to establishing a respectful relationship with horse. Without respect there can be no trust and without trust you will find yourself in a bad situation. Throughout training and conditioning it is important to keep the horse mentally engaged. By exposing horses to a variety of obsticles, both on the trail and in the arena, Sarah helps each individual horse to become confident in it's job. Sarah is currently working closely with several other trainers to expand her skills in cutting, reining and western pleasure.
